Delicious Old Fashioned Pancakes

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
  2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake
  3. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
Recipe Notes

  • Do not over mix the better.
  • For fluffier pan cakes swift the flour,twice.
  • Let your egg set at room temperature before use.
  • Make sure, you are using unsalted butter.
  • Using warm milk , adds  more fluffiness to pan cakes.
  • According to your taste you can adjust salt quantity but it,s recommended to not use more than 1/2 tsp.
